Last night as I sat quietly in pensive thought, I found a quote that I posted earlier by Jayson Engay: “Don’t get too deep, it leads to over thinking, and over thinking leads to problems that don’t even exist in the first place.” We all need time to reflect on where we are in life, where we are headed, what will we do along the way, and most especially, what is our God given purpose in this short time that we have been given on earth. Sometimes we have to force quiet time in our hectic schedules, but often it comes as the result of having to be still in the midst of life’s difficulties, and I am now in the midst of such a time, forced to remain mostly inactive during this time of physical healing in my life. But, know for sure that it is also a time of spiritual and emotional healing as well. Make the most of time you are given to reassess your life and listen for the voice of God. If you listen closely and respond to God’s direction, I have no doubt you will find many answers, probably a few that you did not even realize you needed. Colossians 3:2 says, “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” If you do that, God will bless you and you will find peace in your life. I anxiously but patiently await the next chapter that God is writing for my life.
