Sunday morning my sermon was centered on the mistakes we make in life, especially some I have made. I cited several Scriptural references that warn against mistakes and the type of mistakes we make. I felt led to share these thoughts because I recently had a conversation with a friend about our need to accept the reality that sometimes we make mistakes in life. And….it is OK if we learn from them and move on. They are an important part of the learning process, but only if we will let them be. I am one who tends to want answers immediately, and often, they just do not come. I become impatient. This inhibits me letting go and letting God. But I am learning to lean on Psalm 91:2: “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”” If I can learn to live out this scripture, my life and service to God and others will be so much better. And if you ever struggle with the same problem, so can yours. God is good! All the time!
