We are called by God to take responsibility for our actions. Hard fact, simple truth. So, what do you do when you realize that although you thought and truly believed that you were right in your words or actions, but in reality, you were wrong? A most common “non-response” is to ignore the situation and more move on. We see throughout the Bible where Jesus knew people or things were not right, and He moved on and ignored what was happening. Wrong! Jesus called people out for what they were doing, what they should have been doing, and most of all, what God expected them to do. In Luke 6:46, Jesus says, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” Your words and action tell the world who you are. If you are the example of what Jesus has called us to be as His follower, keep it up. However, if not, hear what He is saying and change your ways to be the example that will lead others to seek Him and build His Kingdom here on earth. As much as we like to think we can do as we want, we cannot say “Lord, Lord” and live in the ways of this world.
