Ever wonder why things in life happen? Good or bad? Of course you do! Something that disturbs me as a Christian is that I do not understand all there is to know about God and his magnificent creations. I have many questions! And, I have to believe that you are also puzzled at times when you are not able to fully grasp the answer to things that you do not understand. However, I find comfort in what Paul wrote in I Corinthians 13:12: “Now I know in part; then I shall know fully.” As I encounter more and more that I do not understand, I find myself looking forward to that day, don’t you? I can’t wait to have some of the pieces of the puzzle put into place, creating a complete picture. Until then I must accept that our greatest need is not understanding, but it is that God is with us, always. My favorite quote by John Wesley was the last words he spoke on his deathbed, “And best of all, God is with us.” God is with us and will be with us until that day comes when all will be revealed. May our prayer be that although we do not always fully understand God’s will or plan now, because of our faith and trust, He will guide us until that day.
