Almost daily we see our friends and family putting themselves in situations that should have been avoided. How many times have you thought or said, “He (or she) was in the wrong place at the wrong time.” Or maybe you have had that thought about yourself. No doubt, there are times that we stumble into these situations, but many times we go there by our own choices and poor decisions. One of the hardest things we seek to understand as Christians is the concept of free will. God has given each of us the choice of what we will and will not do with our lives. He does not direct our every step, but allows us to decide the things we will do, the places we will go, and the people with whom we will associate. God loves you and believes in you enough that He allows you to think for yourself. However, problems come when our ways are not God’s ways. Psalm 105: 4 reminds us to “Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually.” Seek Him in all that you do, base your decisions on His guidance, and you will find yourself to be in the right place at the right time.
