THIS IS MY FATHER’S WORLD
This is my Father’s world,
And to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s world:
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas–
His hand the wonders wrought.
This is my Father’s world:
The birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white,
Declare their Maker’s praise.
This is my Father’s world:
He shines in all that’s fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me everywhere.
This is my Father’s world:
O let me ne’er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the Ruler yet.
This is my Father’s world:
Why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King: let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let earth be glad!
LEAVE IT THERE
If the world from you withhold
of its silver and its gold,
and you have to get along with meager fare,
just remember in his Word
how he feeds the little bird,
take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Refrain:
Leave it there, leave it there,
take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, he will surely bring you out;
take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If your body suffers pain,
and your health you can’t regain,
and your soul is almost sinking in despair,
Jesus knows the pain you feel,
he can save and he can heal,
take your burden to the Lord and leave it there. [Refrain]
When your enemies assail,
and your heart begins to fail,
don’t forget that God in heaven answers prayer;
he will make a way for you,
and will lead you safely through,
take your burden to the Lord and leave it there. [Refrain]
When your youthful days are done,
and old age is stealing on,
and your body bends beneath the weight of care,
he will never leave you then,
he’ll go with you to the end,
take your burden to the Lord and leave it there. [Refrain]
SPIRIT SONG
Oh let the Son of God enfold you
With His Spirit and His love
Let Him fill your heart and satisfy your soul
Oh let Him have the things that hold you
And His Spirit like a dove
Will descend upon your life and make you whole
Refrain:
Jesus, oh Jesus
Come and fill Your lambs
Jesus, oh Jesus
Come and fill Your lambs
Oh come and sing this song with gladness
As your hearts are filled with joy
Lift your hands in sweet surrender to His name
Oh give Him all your tears and sadness
Give Him all your years of pain
And you’ll enter into life in Jesus’ name
Refrain
SHALOM
Shalom to you now, Shalom my friends,
May God’s full mercies bless you, my friend.
In all your living, and through your loving,
Christ be your shalom, Christ be your shalom.
